A legend way beyond its native Havana, the Cuba Libre is essentially a rum and coke given a fresh citrus hit by lots of lively limes.

1. 50ml rum

2. 100ml Coca‑Cola

3. 8 lime wedges

4. Ice 

1. Pour the rum into a tall glass and squeeze seven of the lime wedges over the top. 

2. Stir briskly with a spoon, then fill the glass with ice. 

3. Top up with Coca‑Cola and garnish with the final wedge of lime.
